It's a Verb! (30 for 30)

Refashion (v.) - to remake: make new

The beginning of the year always seems to be the perfect time for starting over.  We resolve to redefine our lives, by redesigning our style, rethinking our choices, or retrying something we've written off in the past.

This year, instead of making a catalog of resolutions that I may or may not make an effort to keep throughout the year, I decided to make a little list of 13 things I'd like to do by the year 2013

Number one on that list? (Successfully) complete a 30 for 30 challenge: Remixing 30 pieces for 30 days, without repeating an outfit. The biggest fear I have going into this challenge isn't the month free of repetition. It isn't all the crazy combinations that might start showing up by the end of the month. Or the rushing that may begin to occur in the mornings, to take outfit pictures, everyday. It isn't what's specified in the title. It's that fine print. It's where it says, "no shopping".

The words send a shiver down my shop-a-holic spine.

Now while I know it isn't mandatory for the challenge, I think it's the best way to tackle my wardrobe with an open mind. There certainly won't be any motivation to continue the challenge throughout the month if I'm constantly picking up cute shoes and tops, that I won't be able to wear for another thirty days. That, and my poor bank account could really use the break from all that (bargain) shopping, that's been wearing it down.

So, here's the deal:
30 outfits in 30 days.

Wish me luck!
